There’s too many laws in freestyle. The idea comes across that if you’re a freestyler you have to skate on your own. You don’t use banks. Some people think you shouldn’t do Ollie tricks. All these rules come across.

The F.I.S.T day at South Bank was the creation of Chris Howell and David Tring. Freestylers turned up from all over the country. Nobody had imagined so many would appear. The wizards stared in amazement. That will do for now.

Every one thought this was a religus comment on our t shirts.In some sences it was, it was about keeping faith with real skateboarding, a board with wheels and a guy in t shirt and jeans enjoying life, no parks, no uniforms no rules.

Mind you,most of the strictly non-transferable moves(pogos/handstands/etc)were lost to posterity for quite some years-glad to see the resurgence of “true” freestyle recently,thanks to Skatekings,Bob’sTrickTips.com,etc…
